Wer nicht möchte, dass beim Anschließen von z.B. USB Sticks diese automatisch durchsucht werden und der Inhalt der Datei autorun.inf ausgeführt wird, kann dies über die Registry ändern.

Dazu öffnet ihr unter

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

den DWORD Schlüssel NoDriveTypeAutorun.

Standardmäßig ist der Hex-Wert 91 eingetragen. Ändert ihr dies in 95, ist der Autorun/Autoplay für USB Sticks deaktiviert.

In der Tabelle sehr ihr, wie sich der Hex-Wert zusammensetzt. Wo man eine ’1′ setzt, wird für das jeweilige Gerät der Autorun/Autoplay deaktiviert.

Wie im Beispiel wurde nun eine ’1′ in der Spalte für Wechseldatenträger gesetzt. Der neue Binärwert ergibt umgerechnet einen Hex-Wert von 95.
